Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects’ Home for Habitat for Humanity and Public Architecture Receives Platinum LEEDTM Certification

The Pilot Project House designed by Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity and Public Architecture received Platinum LEED Certification, the highest certification of sustainability. The home is located in Pascagoula, Mississippi, an area that was severely affected by Hurricane Katrina. Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects donated the services used to design the building as a part of Public Architecture’s 1% Program, which seeks to have design professionals dedicate 1% of their time to pro-bono projects.
