Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture is Dedicated

The dedication ceremony was held for Knowlton Hall, the new building for the Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University. This new 175,000 square foot facility houses the Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and City and Regional Planning programs respectively. The building provides studio space, administrative space, classrooms, computer facilities, galleries, public auditorium, woodshop, and library as well as indoor and outdoor lounge / courtyard areas.

In conjunction with the events of the dedication ceremony, Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects presented the recent competition work of the firm in an inaugural exhibition in Knowlton Hall’s new gallery facilities. The exhibition focused on the design proposals for the following national and international invited competitions: Bank for International Settlements, Wolfsburg Science Center, Pittsburgh Children’s Museum, Laban Centre for Movement and Dance, Fine Arts Center at the University of Connecticut at Storrs and Nexus Center at Barnard College.
