Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects wins 2010 Wood Architecture Award for the lobby at Two Alliance. Judges selected the lobby for the simplicity of the palette combined with the complexity of the details. The inversion of roof and floor gives the ceiling the appearance of a cloud lit from below. Judges agreed that the simplicity of a ribbon of wood on an urban street is unforgettable.
